Yes, you heard that right. It is the actual Beer along with Yoga. No Terms and Conditions apply clause in here. It’s pure bliss and a bottoms up feeling in every sense as you just got a reason to have fun while you make yourself fit.
This unique form of Yoga that’s magnetizing people towards it is called “Beer Yoga”. Sounds fun, isn’t it? Looks even better.
Germany’s BierYoga appears to have started the trend.
This is what BierYoga co-founder Jhula had to say about this unique form of workout. “Basically, I played around with it in my room with a Radler [half beer, half lemonade or soda],”. “I took standard vinyasa sequences, which most people have done a bunch of times, and tried to figure out everywhere I could work beer in there.”
Since her concept became popular naturally, she thought of taking it to the world with a series of events in Australia.
Beer yoga also has American followers, and why not. Their beloved Beer is just helping them stay fit. It where some yoga instructors say the inclusion of brew has been useful for business. A few sessions are also planned in breweries and many a times the drinking sessions are reserved after the yoga stretches. This motivates the fitness enthusiasts to get to the mat and complete the yoga poses with utmost joy.
“I find that teaching traditional yoga in nontraditional places brings people to the mat who otherwise wouldn’t normally start a yoga practice,” Erin Sonn, founder of Eat. Yoga. Drink. in Northern Virginia, which offers “Yoga+Beer” sessions, told Washington radio station WTOP.
Beer Yoga followers say it combines two activities with the same goal.
Moreover, in today’s era where fitness and health are overlooked, there should be some kind of motivation to stay fit. Though the concept is very contradictory, it has surely gained popularity.
